Session Fest – # 3

IMG_1793

One of my favorite events on the Los Angeles beer calendar is the Session Fest at Eagle Rock Brewery.  And it is back in it’s 3rd iteration!  From 4pm to 10pm on May 4th.  Here is the news feed from their website…..

“Session Fest is all about great tasting beers that don’t get you blitzed. All your favorite brewery staff will be brewing up some special session-style beers to share with you. We’re currently mashing, hopping, fermenting and working our butts off to ensure some deliciousness not to be missed!

This year for just $15 you’ll be able to get 3 beers and a half pint commemorative Session Fest pint glass to take home with you!

Additional drink tickets will be available to purchase as well.

We’ll have a food truck in the lot also and we’ll let you know who once we have it all worked out.”

Lot’s of anniversary action this month! Good to see the milestones being both reached and eclipsed. On to Agoura Hills for this post….

“To celebrate their 3rd Anniversary Week, January 21st through 27th, Ladyface Alehouse & Brasserie is planning a full week of events highlighting their award-winning ales. Monday, all taps begin pouring Ladyface creations and, over the course of the week, guests will be able to enjoy special releases, archived vintages, barrel aged brews, collaborations, brewer’s one-off creations, casks, and more.

Monday also sees the release of Ladyface’s 3rd Anniversary Ale, a Belgian Dark Strong Ale with a deep garnet hue and a dense white foam head. Aromas of soft caramel and toffee are layered between earthy spice and fruit. Hops are faint but enough presence to balance. Flavors of rum-raisin and fresh baked bread are followed quickly by warming alcohol. A strong Belgian yeast character is present and exotic Asian teas add subtle layers of vanilla and dark chocolate truffle. Limited edition 3rd Anniversary glassware, with a year-long discount program, also goes on sale.

Tuesday, January 22nd sees Ales From The Vault, on Wednesday Chef Adrian Gioia and Brewmaster David Griffiths present a reservation-only Brewmaster’s Dinner, then Thursday is Barrel-Aged Beer Night. Event details, including is music and prize drawings, can be found on the Ladyface Alehouse & Brasserie Facebook page and at their website.

3rd Anniversary for 38 Degrees

June 16 starting at 1:00pm

“Does 38 Degrees get better with age? We like to think so! Not too many beers get better, but some special barrel aged gems from some of our favorite breweries will be showcased on draught for 38’s 3rd Anniversary event. Just as the barrel aged madness last June, various styles such as sours, porters, stouts, strong ales & barleywines racked straight from a barrel will be flowing from the taps Saturday, June 16th starting at 1:00 pm. Over 25 barrel aged beers on tap and plenty of fresh ales as well to quench your particular thirst. We still carry over 180 specialty bottles as well FYI. No entry fee at all… Full 38 degrees service all day & night to all who would like to raise a glass to 3 fantastic years serving very fine foods & brilliant beers here in Alhambra. Official list released Monday, June 10th. Please chime in with some requests and or guess'”
