Where to go in LA

IMG_2746
OK folks, this is where the rubber meets the road here in Los Angeles. Whether you are a visitor to the City of Angels, a transplant (like me) or a native Angeleno, this is where you find the best beer in the Southland. It is a long list that I hope grows longer and I have been to every last one of these places and can vouch to their craft credentials.

First we start with straight-up bars, no food, just great beer…
Verdugo (Glassell Park)
The Surly Goat (West Hollywood)
The Glendale Tap (Glendale)
The Daily Pint (Santa Monica)

…then we move on to locales with beer and food…
Blue Palms Brewhouse (Hollywood)
The Hermosillo (Highland Park)
Mohawk Bend (Echo Park)
Library Alehouse (Santa Monica)
Tony’s Darts Away (Burbank)
38 Degrees Alehouse (Alhambra)
Public School 612 (Downtown & Culver City)
Oinkster (Eagle Rock & Hollywood)
Rock & Brews (El Segundo)
Little Bear (Downtown)
Lucky Baldwin’s (Pasadena locations)
Far Bar (Downtown)
Four Points – The Beer Hotel (LAX)
Beachwood BBQ (Seal Beach & Long Beach)
Congregation Ale House (Long Beach, Pasadena, Azusa)
Frases motivadoras

…and if you need a bottle or two…
Sunset Beer Co. (Echo Park)
Talon Tap & Wine (Eagle Rock)
Hop Merchants (North Hollywood)
Select Beer Store (Redondo Beach)

…all of the above places need beer supplied and these are the breweries that do it…
Ladyface Alehouse (Agoura Hills)
Eagle Rock Brewery (Glassell Park)
Brewyard Beer Co. (Glendale)
Monkish Brewing (Torrance)
Smog City Brewing (Torrance)
Strand Brewing (Torrance)
Highland Park Brewery (Highland Park)
Mumford Brewing (Downtown LA)
El Segundo Brewing (El Segundo)
Beachwood Brewing (Long Beach)
Angel City Brewing (Downtown)
Pacific Plate (Monrovia)
Craftsman Brewing (Pasadena)
MacLeod Ale Brewing (Van Nuys)
Three Weavers (Inglewood)
King Harbor (Redondo)

….and for a full listing (and in alphabetical order) check out the full and updated list at the Los Angeles County Brewers Guild website HERE
