French Belle

La Belle Étoile which translates to “The Beautiful Star” is the next Boomtown Artist Series Hazy DIPA.

Per the brewery, “This lovely brew is 8.4% brewed with Galaxy, Motueka, Citra, giving way to flavors of Nectarine, Tangerine, Peach & Melon, with a creamy full bodied mouth feel that gives us an intriguing vanilla vibe.”

This bright night sky blue label was designed by Caroline Gaoua-Hawkins, a French Industrial and Graphic designer.

Kelp

Smog City Brewing has a new Community Impact Beer on the way.

#3 is in collaboration with The Bay Foundation and is “a West Coast IPA featuring Zappa® & Medusa hops, which are the only hop variety that are native to the Southwest US.”

The Bay Foundation works to “restore native plant species and kelp forests, which fights climate change and keeps our coast balanced & full of life.”

Coming on October 8th.

Stone Society

Or should I say Stone and Societe.

I am kind of surprised that the old school and new school San Diego breweries hadn’t collaborated before. But since they are, I am glad they are going the West Coast IPA route.

Where is the Magic?

Common Space Brewery polled their social media fans as to what hops they wanted paired together.

Well the masses spoke and “the option with the most votes .. Cashmere and Triumph.”

The resulting West Coast IPA, Hidden Magic has notes of
Tangerine, Lemon Blossom and Fruit-Cup.

21x 2

There are anniversaries that people look forward to. Milestones like 10 and 20 but when your brewery is named after the amendment repealing prohibition, then that number has to be 21. And since 21st Amendment is a California brewery, it had to be an IPA.
