Last year, the first OC Beer Week® comprised 100 events across Orange County and year 2 should be even bigger since the membership of the OC Brewers Guild has grown by 28%.
Here are the big events to look for this year….
“Kicking off the week will be the Orange County Brewers Guild Invitational, a beer-centric tasting event which will not only include Orange County breweries but also our closest beer pals. The lineup includes some breweries who have never poured their beer in Orange County. Held on May 20th in Center City Anaheim from 4:00pm – 8:00pm the venue will be packed with 70 breweries pouring more than140 beers, 10 food trucks, beer apparel vendors, home brew demonstrations and samples, a DJ, and beer forums with leading OC brewers and industry experts. Tickets are $60 and sell quickly. 2016 invitational tickets, sold out last year.
Closing out beer week will be Downtown Beer Hop in Santa Ana, where attendees will be led by historical guides to hear the history of the area and learn how the city was shaped into what it is today – this tour is paired with 10 stops to have samplings of Orange County craft beer and bites of food along the way. Happening on May 27th from 12:00pm – 4:00pm, this guided walking tour is limited. Tickets will be available soon on the Orange County Brewers Guild’s website.”
