Tomorrow for my column on FoodGPS, I talk about the newly opened Glendale Tap.
Here are some additional photos from my visit on opening night…….
The logo on a really huge size of beer chalice. (If only it were a real serving size)
The layout of the space.
Sadly, no Eastside on tap.
Ha, it’s probably a good thing The Glendale Tap don’t have Eastside beer on draught. I believe Eastside went out of business in 1979, and I’m guessing 33-year-old lager wouldn’t taste that good.
Here’s a link to a cool LA Times story about Eastside’s history: http://articles.latimes.com/1997/sep/07/local/me-29791
It would still be better than Miller High Life. And if New Albion beer can be resurrected, maybe someone will revive Eastside too.
