Brewyard has a second can release in the pipeline filled with the C’s Chinook, Cascade and Columbus in their Younger influenced IPL. Look for it in one week on St. Patrick’s Day.
HUB and Bob
Los Angeles has been getting a low flow of beers from organic brewers Hopworks of Portland. And though the excellently named Chill Murray is way too limited to reach us, maybe this beer will…
“Love Letter NEIPA is the third beer in our new Win-Win Partnership Series, which highlights ingredients from fellow eco-champion businesses. The beer truly is our love letter to Bob’s Red Mill, as it features Bob’s haze-inducing organic oats, organic wheat, and organic spelt for a velvety, fluffy texture. It is dry-hopped with citrusy and fruit-forward Jaryllo, Mosaic, and Denali hops.”
Why? Because we get Bob’s flours and other sundry items down here just like they do in Portland.
Dubbel Nitro
Left Hand is the leader in the nitro can beers but their newest one is of the most interest to me….
…adding nitro to this style seems a nice match that should bring out some soft notes from the malt.
Not a Hef?
Did anyone at Golden Road talk to their Dilly Dilly? Why is their a Def Leppard collaboration beer in 2018?
Must be some hysteria to cause this type of Armageddon it. Also, whoever designed this faux-clip art Pyromania label should be taken back to art school. I am a guilty appreciator of the DL music (not the hair), I mean this song and video is awesome. The outro riff is great.
But this is 2018. Get yourself Kendrick Lamar or T-Swift Budweiser. Brew up a Hefe or do a Pour Some (Belgian Candi) Sugar on Me Dubbel.
Two Can Releases
You will need to set your Waze to stun because there are two can releases on March 2nd that are of interest…

AND
Angel City releases Public House Saison in 16oz cans
Dry-hopped with a blend of Equinox, Zythos and Amarillo hops that blends with the Belgian-style flavor profile of notes of melon, clove and spice.
Only in LBC
Last Thursday, Beachwood Brewing dropped a new six-pack on the world, if your world is centered in Long Beach…
….and centered on cans of their delicious West Coast IPA.
Review – Pils from Chapman Crafted
Finally back on track with a review of a non-hopcentric beer. Pils from Chapman Crafted from Orange, California.
Really refreshing. Light to almost the watery point. A nice bright yellow color. Getting almost a blonde ale vibe to this one and less pils when sipping but the aroma is straight up lager. A bit of corn taste malt lodges on my tongue.
Shredding
I would expect nothing less in label art than this from the combo of Pizza Port and 3 Floyds….
Very trippy and skull driven. All for a session IPA. You won’t be able to miss it on shelves for sure.
Two Tiki’s
You may not think of tiki in regards to Claremont Craft Ales. or jacaranda when it comes to King Harbor. But they know each other and have collaborated on a dueling set of IPA’s.
King Harbor – “Tiki Jac IPA – is our Tiki Hut IPA recipe with a hint Claremont’s Jacaranda Rye IPA. Rye spice malt bill with a big juicy tropical hop layered on top.”
Claremont – “Tiki Hut Dry IPA – is their awesome Mosaic Dry IPA with a hint of our Tiki Hut IPA hop profile. Bone dry west coast style IPA with dank mosaic and tropically fantastic citra sending a roundhouse kick to your pallet.”
If you can find both, would be a good brewing comparison.
