I have been an advocate for smaller sized beer containers for a while now. Especially when it comes to the high alcohol beers which, ironically, always seem to come in 750ml bottles. The other ironic twist is that the few stubbies out there are generally of low ABV beers.
An Indiana brewery, Flat12 Bierwerks is releasing their seasonal, Pinko! Russian Imperial Stout in 8oz stubby cans. (see below).
I have seen skinny cans from Sixpoint and 21st Amendment but never a squat little 8oz’er. Pinko! Rolls in at 10.5% ABV and is perfect for this presentation. Plus it means that maybe more people will be able to get there hands on some, hopefully alleviating the whalez-y-ness of limited release beers.
Now maybe The Bruery can put some Black Tuesday in a stubbie.
