Would Love to Try – Põhjala Forest Bänger

Every twice in a while I will see some Põhjala beers at in the know shops and one that I recently saw on tap from the Estonian brewery was Forest Bänger an Imperial stout brewed with an intriguing mix of adjuncts (smashed rowan berries, Estonian juniper wood, and smoked malts.)  The brewery describes the flavors as “Smooth, rich berries mix with an explosion of smoke and spice – fennel, molasses, grape, pine resin and the hint of pipe tobacco.”
