Mountain Towers

The mountains surrounding LA are a bit cluttered but there are local landmarks as well and Trustworthy Brewing is “paying homage to the radio towers on top of the Verdugo Mountains overlooking Burbank” with two DDH DIPA’s, one for each tower.

Tower 1 is brewed with Pilsner malt and heavily dry-hopped with Simcoe, Azacca, and Comet hops. Giving it a light color and sweet pineapple flavor. Tower 2 is brewed with 2-row malt and equally graciously dry-hopped with Mosaic and Azacca hops. Giving this beer a deep golden appearance and a sweet hoppy bitterness.

Trust the Haze

When I see pink on a beer label, I immediately think that the hop blend is going to be good. Trustworthy got their hands on this year’s Pink Boots blend and has recently released a DDH hazy but in the pale format.

Trust

Verdugo West is no more. Don’t worry. In this case they are just changing the name. Even the branding is staying the same. The name of their IPA struck a chord and so they are now….. Trustworthy Brewing Co.

That is not the only news from the Burbank brewery. “By the end of the year Gigil Pilsner, Wax Wing Blonde Lager, Trustworthy IPA, Brass Jar Hoppy Amber and What Plane? Oatmeal Stout will be available in 4-pack 16oz cans.”

So get your Verdugo West gear now. It might be a collectors item.
