Inglewood will be getting a party when Three Weavers Brewing celebrates its 11th Anniversary on December 6th so mark that paper or digital calendar now.

Think of it as a way to get in the holiday spirit.
Three Weavers is hitting their 9th Anniversary on November 4th and they have laid out how they brewed Time is a Flat Circle which is a double dry-hopped Cold IPA.

“To even call it “double dry-hopped” seems a bit of an understatement because our brewers have added ridiculous amounts of hops during the following processes…
1. Mash
2. First runnings
3. Bittering
4. Flavor
5. Knock out
6. Whirlpool
7. Dry-hop 1
8. Dry-hop 2 (we’re at this step today)
…And you might ask yourself, “Gee, that sounds fun but *which* hops did they use?” Welllllll…
1. Simcoe Cryo
2. Strata
3. Citra
4. Idaho Gem
5. Mosaic Cryo
6. Citra
7. Chinook
8. Cryo Pop”
Still not understanding the hatred of vowels in business and brand names but setting that aside, Three Weavers is launching an RTD line-up called GRDN PRTY. These are cocktail-inspired flavored malt beverages. No spirits here. The cans started into distribution on July 17 but you can head to their taproom in Inglewood to get any or all the three flavors, which are: Pineapple Sage, Lemonade, Grapefruit Guava Rosemary and Juniper Lemon Cucumber.

Not all holiday celebrations go swimmingly, if you feel like you are turning sour, remember Polite Conversations. The cranberry sour from Inglewood’s Three Weavers. It may not help a conversation into fun but it will pair with both food and walking away.

A sour ale “overflowing with cranberries and buzzing with the perfect hint of pomegranate.”
Three Weavers is putting some lemon and line into their latest Kolsch…

Sounds like a good citrus blend to me.

I am a big proponent of farms getting some recognition from brewers. CLS Farms is getting some El Dorado hop love from Three Weavers Brewing with their new All Dorado IPA.
Fill the wordspace with odes to farmers!

The California Craft Beer Summit started yesterday but the first full day of events in Long Beach start today and to celebrate 30 years of California brewing, there is a celebratory beer, 30 Years Strong brewed with a group led by Three Weavers.

Alexandra Nowell from Three Weavers has gone big. Teaming with Portland based Gigantic Brewing to concoct Play Date, “a barrel aged golden ale. It’s a “cocktail beer” that weighs in at 8% ABV and features fruity pomegranate and ginger melded and mellowed by months spent in bourbon barrels.”
Let’s hope some of this ends up in Inglewood and L.A. in keg and bottle form.
Three Weavers Brewing Co. played host to the L.A. Beer Week Unity brew for 2016 along with more than twenty other L.A. craft breweries.

This is year 2 of the rotation around the L.A. brewing area. Smog City held the mantle last year with their Tart Saison and now we head to IPA land. At least it isn’t a fruit IPA. And at least, there will be two as-yet-unnamed hop varietals in the mix. Otherwise this style choice seemed a little predictable and not so edgy. Like greenlighting a sequel instead of an indie flick.
HBC 522 & HBC 342 were used in the brewing. Hops still so new that you really have to dig in Google to get descriptions or characteristics. The latter is described as having an aroma that is mild, pleasant, citrusy, and tropical, with some melon notes as well. 522 is being positioned as a Centennial-esque hop.
With Alexandra Nowell, the brewmaster at Three Weavers, at the helm for the April 20th brewdate, you can expect a great example of an L.A. styled IPA. Unity IPA 2016 will debut before L.A. Beer Week at a special release party at Three Weavers Brewery in Inglewood on Friday, May 27th.
After that, look for bottles to send to those who can’t make it for L.A. Beer Week. Make sure they drink it fresh though.
