In the Heights 2

Count me as a fan of The Heights Deli and Bottle Shop and now there will be a second outpost, this time on San Fernando Boulevard in the Glassell Park neighborhood.

According to my intel, they will be taking over from the previous liquor store tenant. Look for the same blue color and The Heights font on the building. The big clue is the #2 that you will also see painted on the facade.

I will pass on more info when available, the best news is that the “when will you open?” question has changed in recent days from a shrug emoji to, we are open.

G2

Looks like an Costa Mesa based Gunwhale is branching out. The new location is Orangewood, close to Angel Stadium and technically in Orange.  They are planning on using a shipping container and have food and 9K of brewing square feet.  Plus they are across from El Camino Real Park.

Thanks to the e-newsletter from Eagle Rock Brewery, we can now resume waiting for their second location (how good is that to type) for our beloved Eastside brewery.  In what was a restaurant called Fatty’s that seemed only open intermittently and way before that Dahlia Motors will be a full restaurant with Eagle Rock beers in Eagle Rock proper.

Check out their website for the construction photos and stay tuned for news about when the opening will happen.
