Fort Collins Brewery has a new beer by the name of Double Down and the style is a Gose IPA. Yup, Sea Salt, coriander and low ABV tartness meets Southern Hemisphere hops and lemon peel.
As I have mention on many an occasion, I love experimentation. But this is over the line for me. How about make a really solid, plain German style Gose or add in some local ingredient and make a Fort Collins Gose. Start your own appellation. Then make a new winter IPA or Snowy Season IPA. I just don’t see how these two mix without the Gose being submerged and being left with a SIPA, Salted India Pale Ale.
