Add another casualty to the brewery list as Burbank’s Trustworthy Brewing Co. will arrive at their 8th anniversary and then close up for good at the end of January.
So on Saturday, January 25th, it will be a bittersweet party from 12 PM to 10 PM. Below are the details….
“We will have our VIP section from 12-2pm. Tickets will be $39 and will include:
Unlimited drinking for the entire 2 hours
2-4pks of your choosing
Bottle of a sour or barleywine
Logo Pint Glass
Starting at 2pm doors will be open to everyone and we’ve got some exciting things planned including free raffles and discounts on everything!
After the party we will be open every day until Friday the 31st which will be our final day. We’ll be doing special promos from now until our final day so keep checking back to see what each week’s deals will be.”
Frogtown is an area of Los Angeles that I would not have pegged for a brewery. Tiny streets, near the L.A. River, hemmed in by freeways. But Frogtown Brewery has made it work for eight years now and have a weekend party scheduled for the first weekend in October.
For a week long in June, Homage Brewing and its two location will be celebrating their 8th anniversary.
“You can expect BIG strawberries, BIG tunes, RARE bier on draft, food, wines and new merch.”
Brewyard Beer Co. has reached their 8th Anniversary under the overpass in Glendale. These guys throw a good party too. So in addition to new beer and new collaborations there will be music and food and you might find a seat next to the Brewyard truck to sip your beer.
Hand-Brewed Beer Co. have reached that magical age of 8 and they have teamed with the LA County Brewers Guild to add oomph (in the form of more breweries) to the party.
The event will be on Sunday, October 16 in Chatsworth alongside a selection of local food trucks, and a local artist bazaar! Tickets include a commemorative glass and unlimited tastings.
Santa Monica Brew Works has added an eight notch to their belt and have a special IPA ready for fans of the West-Side brewery.
“MA8IC HOUR West Coast-Style IPA (7.0% ABV). Brewed with Cashmere and Strata hops. Bursting with flavors of citrus, peach, and tangerine – punctuated with a pleasantly dank finish.”
Reaching year 8 is great. Pacific Plate Brewing has notched that level now and have released a big Saison in honor of it. Let’s review it here….
Very barrel. Oodles of wood notes. Idaho 7 and Cashmere hops? Sure. The barrel crushes them. Some Saison spice notes escapes the rum barrel vortex. But when I think anniversary beer, I want something big. This is big. It is only 8.5% but it stops you in its tracks.
Usually anniversary beers are either A) and IPA or B) something Barrel-aged. Nothing wrong with either choice but I like it when summer anniversary beers acknowledge the SoCal heat and serve up a Pils. And that is what Claremont Craft Ales has done. So pre-order and take an AC drive out to Claremont when this beer is ready.
Can you believe it? Sunset Beer Company is close to their Eighth Anniversary! On Saturday, October 19th, they will unveil a very special tap list. Snacks and Masa Pizza will be available when night rolls in. Raise a glass to a classy independent beer shop.
