Here is how Ladyface Ale Companie describes this anniversary beer, “we created an ale that reflects those years – big, strong, boozy, and a little bittersweet. “Atlas Shrugged” is a blend of our barrel-aged Imperial Stout and Belgian Barleywine, with dry oak tannins meeting bittersweet chocolate and rum raisin. An ABV of 11% may lead you to deep, complex thoughts.”
I don’t venture south of L.A. County often as I should in person or on this blog. So to remedy the last half, cheers to Noble Ale Works as they have reached anniversary # 10.
This will be a ticketed event with no “day of” tickets sold which means you best head over to the website to pick yours up if you want to celebrate with the royal crew on March 23rd.

One of the old school Orange County breweries, Bootlegger’s is hitting the big 10 year mark and will be celebrating at a special location, The Fullerton Arboretum.
There will be flowers and foliage and also special releases, barrel aged, & archived beers from Bootlegger’s as well as guest brews from Bottle Logic, Barleyforge, Cismontane, Hoparazzi, Green Cheek Beer Co., Left Coast Brew Co, Stereo
and MORE..)
Food will come from two trucks Dos Chinos and Luna’s Catering
Tickets for the April 7th event can be purchased for $50 or at the door for $60 (while tickets last) and Designated Driver tickets will be available for $15.
Proceeds from this event will go towards The Orange County Brewer’s Guild
Continuing with Sam Adams day, here is the information on this year’s Utopias which is the 10th anniversary edition.
“The 2012 batch of Samuel Adams Utopias has its entire lineage in it, some of the beer has been aged in a variety of wood barrels for 19 years. This long aging process and variety of spirit barrels enhances the beer’s distinct vanilla and maple notes, and its high alcohol content creates a heated aroma of ginger and cinnamon. As a result, this big brew invokes the flavors of a rich vintage Port, fine Cognac, or aged Sherry while feeling surprisingly light on the palate. The brew has sweet flavors of honey, toffee, caramel, cocoa and vanilla, balanced by distinct notes of molasses, raisins, plums and berries.”
