I have been lucky enough to get some samples of beers from Oggi’s that are not normally seen in my neck of the woods.
The latest unlabeled bottle from the San Diego area brewer is Oggi’s City by the Sea Pale Ale.
This 5% poured with no head at all which was a portent of things to come. The beer poured not hazy but not clear either. The first taste was mineral and it was grating. It was followed by a weird grassy note. I had a sip then another, then set it down. With a little passage of time, it still seemed off.
Perhaps a bad bottling and maybe the draft version is better?
