Consider my head turned. This is a lovely list of breweries for those like me who are looking into attending a beer festival again. Plus it has an added benefit of having teo breweries listed that I have not had beer from.

The Timbo is upon us…
From July 16th through July 23rd, get your Pils on with Timbo Week at Highland Park Brewery.
Here are the details: “a whole week dedicated to our beloved Timbo Pils! We’re gonna be celebrating this west coast Pilsner for a whole week with special releases, merch (yes, Timbo Pils glassware! Yes, Timbo Pils shirts!), Timbo inspired food specials, 4 different canned Timbo style beers, one off draft only Timbo style beers, & even a Timbo cutout so you can be a can of Timbo! Woo!

Anyway, Paperback Brewing in Glendale will use three days to celebrate what has been a year for sure. So pick your day and check out their beers and their space if you are like me and haven’t actually been inside.
Beachwood Brewing will be hitting the ten year mark this year and on July 17th, there will be new beers to celebrate this now multi-location stalwart in the Los Angeles brewing scene. Keep an eagle eye out for more details on their social media channels.
After you celebrate America on the 4th, you can learn about Italy and Italian craft beer on the 8th. Tomm Carroll is a LA beer legend and will put you in the know about Italian beer. Sign up before the 5th. Right HERE!
From the Los Angeles County Brewers Guild…
“The Los Angeles County Brewers Guild (LABG) is proud to announce the formation of the McFerren Fund for the advancement of women in craft beer in memory of LABG Founding Member Rob McFerren who passed away in December 2020. Rob McFerren was a pioneer of the L.A. craft brewing industry, founding Wolf Creek Brewery and Restaurant in 1996 with his wife and co-founder Laina McFerren. Rob was an incredible advocate for women in the beer industry. His immense support of his wife Laina as a board member and President of our Guild was palpable. As a proud father of two daughters, Rob’s devotion to the empowerment of women came from the most genuine place. We could not think of a better way to honor his memory than to create a special fund within our nonprofit dedicated to curating professional networking and development opportunities for women in the beer industry.
The McFerren Fund will be a special financial allocation earmarked in our organization’s budget for professional networking and development programming. Donations are accepted and sponsorship opportunities will also become available. An initial goal of the fund is to work hand-in-hand with the LABG’s mission to increase efforts to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the craft brewing industry.”

Pride Month is here and so is the 3rd panel in the Crafting Conversations series. Moderated by Angel City Leader of DE&I, Carissa Sweigart to discuss the significance of the month, her take on Pride, and which is slated for June 24th at the Public House and streamed on YouTube.
Even the most casual of beer fans has probably noticed that a few beer festivals have started to make their way onto calendars.
That means that I will start posting about the events that look to be worthy of the entrance fee.
It does not mean that I know of their Covid precautions however. If I find any FAQs, I will point then out. I will endeavor to add more information than normal as we transition back to enjoying beer from a taster glass in a park.
Having just recently achieved fully vaccinated status, I am just now dipping my toe into travel plans and if there is a movie I want to see after a year plus hiatus from being inside an auditorium. Which means, I am still hesitant about bring around a beer-load of people, even if outside.
