Tomorrow night, the beers of noted brewer Jeff Bagby from his eponymous Bagby Beer Co. will take over the taps at the Glendale Tap.
Not to say a drive to the brewery wouldn’t be great but Glendale is bit easier for us L.A. beer fans.

Claremont Craft Ales has their 11th Anniversary Celebration coming up and it is a special one tinged with sadness as this year it is also celebration of Brian Seffer- the late head brewer and business partner.
The special release is called: “Brian’s Greatest Hits” — a variety pack which includes the return of ‘Pterodactyl’, ‘Pool Day’, and of course, ‘Happy Days.’ This will be available at the anniversary celebration (included in the VIP ticket price).”
“A portion of the sales will go to Head and Neck Cancer Alliance, a charity that is very near and dear to us here at CCA.”

MacLeod Ales, despite being declared nearly dead last year, has risen up and now has reached the 9 year mark. That is probably an even better reason than just reaching year 9 so pick a location ( OG Van Nuys or Highland Park) and get a proper English pint and raise it in the air.
The Los Angeles Brewsology Beer Fest is back for 2023. It is a good mash-up of beer and museum as you get a festival at the California Science Center.
It will be held on July 8th, with a brewery list over 50 + food trucks and all-inclusive access throughout the museum and exhibits after hours.
Trademark Brewing Long Beach will be turning 4 on June 3rd and will be throwing a little party to commemorate that number.
Check out their website for tickets and more information.
I do not follow hashtags but if they are still a thing, then #TDA13 will probably start trending at midnight as we transition from May 19th to 20th.
The event is the 13th anniversary of Tony’s Darts Away in Burbank where crowds gather to be the first to have a midnight beer, this year brewed by Beachwood Brewing.
Then over the weekend there will be hourly special tappings of fun beers that will get beer geeks frothing.
I haven’t seen a midnight in a bit but I am tempted.
If you hop to it, you can purchase your tickets for Claremont Craft Ales 11th Anniversary shindig which will make for a good day trip outside of most Angelenos normal beer radius.
If your beer trips tend to be blurring into one large IPA, maybe you need to make your next bar visit a little more memorable, maybe tomorrow night at Frogtown Brewery for some Back Room Shakespeare.
HopSaint Brewing Company has some excellent BBQ and equally excellent beer under the stewardship of Brian Brewer. And they will be celebrating their 7th anniversary at the end of the month….
The end of April will mark the observance of the 2nd Anniversary for NoHo’s Lawless Brewing.
