These are the beers that I wish I could taste for the first time.

Us weirdo beer fans have probably had an IPA with the creaminess of lactose. We have probably had an IPA one with the island flavor of mangoes and / or coconut. But what about a mango-coconut milkshake IPA with jasmine rice? Well, Maui Brewing has mashed all four together in a new beer.
I would not have thought to brew with a whole different water but San Diego’s NOVA Easy Kombucha has pivoted to their first beer, “Beach Lager.” This small-batch pilot beer is brewed using coconut water.
I would be interested to see what this ingredient swap would do for a stout or smoothie style beer.
There is a new hopped up collaboration out from Beachwood and El Segundo following on the heels of Eyes to the Sky earlier this year.
Get out your brewing dictionary, it’s time for…
I really need to look harder for Oud Beersel offerings in beer shops. My aversion to sour in my tummy should not stop me from trying (and sharing) beers especially when they have the little used rhubarb in them.
Thornbridge Artesian is on my wish list because I cannot remember any beer with gooseberries in it. They are not well known and are not widely available so I haven’t had one in years but if my poor memory serves, they are a little tart with grape character paired with a botanical like elderflower would make a potent mix.
AleSmith, amongst other breweries, have a Mexican lager but there are fewer dark Mexican lagers. AleSmith is rectifying that imbalance with Clásico Oscura.
It’s Nilk, another sign, this time courtesy of Arrow Lodge Brewing, that fall is here for us.
Firestone Walker and the fine folks at the Full pint want to do a Credit Czech in the form of a “Polotmavý Garnet Lager”. We are in a great time for those who love the gamut of Czech lagers.
El Segundo Brewing has another new festbier season beer out with home brewer extraordinaire, John Palmer. This time a Czech Dark Lager. I will be on the lookout for it.
