Usually when I post anything regarding Pizza Port, it revolves around the IPA or the pizza. But they can and do other styles such as the Czech-Style pils going by the rhyming name of Pier Beer.

Firestone Walker’s Propagator team trekked to Long Beach and Trademark Brewing to create a Total Knockout of an IPA.
Described as a “Westie with a citrusy bouquet of fresh orange peel and grapefruit expression and a finishing battle between dank and fruit.”

Smog City has entered into a new partnership with the Dignity Health Sports Park home of MLS LA Galaxy in Carson. Quasar Blonde Ale will be available at the stadium in the hot new 19.2oz can format. “Quasar Blonde Ale is an easy drinking approachable 4.8% blonde ale with smooth malt notes and subtle hop flavor that keep you refreshed the whole match all the way to full time!”

Replicant at the Arroyo Shell has a new IPA coming out with the not greatly appetizing name of Malformation Hazy IPA. Good to see that they are having luck having un-named breweries work with them on this fun series of beers.
BiB 2
Weathered Souls Brewing Company have a Black Is Beautiful sequel coming out this summer and it is a Hazy IPA which will benefit the NB2A (National Black Brewers Association) The label mock- up is below. Hopefully we will see lots of breweries jumping on board for this initiative.
Half Hour
30 Minute IPA. Has a bit of a sit-com ring to it but it is the newest sibling in the Dogfish “Minute” family. For their 28th anniversary, a summery session IPA was the choice and maybe it will herald a re-look at the session style.
Park It
Park’s BBQ is having a bit of an L.A. moment. Getting lots of good press for their Korean BBQ. Now they have teamed up with the gastropub Father’s Office for a lager to pair with that food.
Will add to my never diminishing list of places to visit.
Canadian Cold
A new beer from Unibroue? Appears so, as HIPL, a hop flavored lager with citrus-flavored flavors has been promoted on social media. Maybe my Trader Joe’s will carry it.
They also have a Bohemian pilsner on the way….
Sunny Pils
Two words, not one for Pizza Port’s newest release, “Sun Sets is a Pilsner hopped with New Zealand hop varietals of Motueka and Nelson. This NZ-style Pilsner is also brewed with Phantasm, a grape musk from New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc grapes.”
Looking like a hoppy pilsner summer on the way.
