Frogtown Brewery has some new releases to put on your radar. They have been leaning into Tiki themed beers and have a Beachcomber Golden Ale, or if you are looking for a different spin on the classic cream ale, you can pick up their vanilla-fied cream ale.
The Center Does Hold
Be careful not to open after you turn this can upside to get the full effect of the label.
Trademark Brewing had visitors from just down the road at Beachwood for this new IPA.
Barley + Coffee, No Wine
Arrow Lodge comes at the barleywine style with a caffeine twist with their new Arrow Pressed “smooth sipper” with beans from Valiant Coffee Roasters. Might be time to see how they spin the barleywine style.
De-Putinize
Russian River Brewing has done up a one-off – new version of Defenestration.
It “is a “West meets East Coast-style IPA” with tons of juicy hop aroma and bitterness. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to humanitarian efforts to help Ukrainian refugees. Defenestration and Putin Huylo will be released in cans only at both pubs and Gift Shops around the 1st of April. A very small amount of each beer will be available online as well! Stay tuned for more updates. Thank you for joining us in supporting and helping the people of Ukraine!”
Guidelines
North Park Beer Company has had some label hits and some label misses according to my design specificity but I do like the humor and pop of rainbow color on this new IPA…
It’s far past time for the algorithm to catch more flak. Leave the breweries alone.
Colder than Cold
The cool cat from Party Beer Co. has traveled to the ’90s. A time without Cold IPA for a collaboration with Hop Secret Brewing, Cool as Ice.
“this IPA is fermented cold with famous Weihenstephan yeast and Idaho Gem, Cashmere & Talus hops. One sip will transport you back to the 90’s while delivering notes of tangerine, lime and red cherry.”
Work
Brewjeria has added to their line of workers we need to applaud and consider more with ….
The blonde ale drops Saturday, March 26th and is in collaboration with “Las Domestic Workers (Mujeres en Accion LA) will benefit the advocacy of women’s labor both paid and unpaid with Latinx With Plants lending an assist.”
You can follow the creators of the label artwork at @karmarelo with layout by @hopsandhues
Lousy Smarch Weather
Angel City Brewery recently released their first 2022 Art Series beer in conjunction with ArtShare LA. It is Lousy Smarch Weather.
The beer is a Belgian tripel and the label art is by Yaicecream. Maybe at the end of the year, they can do a mixed pack of all the Art Series beers.
Not That Westy
Double Westy (West Coast DIPA, 9.0%) is easily one of the cleanest, hop forward doubles we’ve brewed. Mosaic, Nelson, Citra and a sprinkling of Sabro come together with notes of cantaloupe, resin, stone fruit and some serious hoppy dankness. Available in cans and on draft THURSDAY.
Purr-gatory
Continuing their feline name trend, Party Beer Co. has a new beer for SoCal, Purradise Lost, “a California-style Hazy IPA loaded with peach, mango, and piney hop flavor and aroma.
I like the Milton nod in the name and hope the label is black and white as well.
