A heads up for fans of Nelson hops. King Harbor has a new West Coast – Double IPA – DDH in cans now.
On the Dial
Oh how I remember AM radio. Static. Lots of it. Mumford Brewing has a new classic IPA.
I really like the light, gauzy colors and also that it is an “old-fashioned” IPA.
Trust Helles
Burbank’s Trustworthy Brewing has a test for you and it is hell(es).
I Can Do It Better
Let’s stick with Crowns & Hops and collaboration but swap in fellow Inglewoodian Three Weavers.
Here is the info on this Pink Boots “pale ale brewed with Norwegian Kveik yeast ups the craft beer game by taking your inner badass to the next level and then bringing you in tight for a raspberry, pineapple and bubblgegum hug.”
Jon and Vinny and an Italian Pils
Crowns & Hops has joined ampersand forces with restaurant team Jon & Vinny for an “Italian Style Pilsner dry hopped with Amarillo & Simcoe hops for a beautiful floral and citrus aroma coupled with a crisp dry finish.”
Per the Inglewood brewery, “Greensleeves is in honor of the global impact of jazz and a celebration of access to culture. Arguably one of the most impactful forms of American Art created by Black Americans of African descent was that of jazz.
Considering that Jon & Vinny are the food suppliers to SoFi Stadium, I would hazard a guess this pils will be available there.
Next Gen
Every year is a new generation and at the Propagator in Venice, Firestone Walker that means more IPA.
Here are the details – “Each April, we celebrate another year of good times and brewing at The Propagator R&D Brewhouse with an anniversary beer release. This year, we teamed up with our friends at El Segundo Brewing Co. to create Gen-6 Double IPA, a riff on our now-classic Propagator house IPA, Gen-1.”
OtherSmith or AleHalf?
Sometimes the older brother gets the cooler younger brother to work together.
AleSmith has snagged a collaboration with New York’s Other Half Brewing for their latest IPA…
I am sure how they deal with hops together will not be a puzzle.
Bridging
Angel City honors the past occupants of their brewery with Bridge Builder Hazy IPA.
Their DTLA Public House “was once formerly the John A. Roebling & Sons west coast warehouse, where they would manufacture steel cables to build some of the most iconic bridges across the country.”
Here are details on the beer, it “has an almost vanilla-like sweetness upfront, followed by pineapple, nectarines, fruit punch and strawberries with a full mouthfeel and a finishing tropical sweetness. Brewed in the very same warehouse that used to build bridges, it’s safe to say this brew really “bridges” the gap between our building’s past & present.”
Peeky
If given the choice, I would pick a Triple Hazy IPA over a hazy, so I am glad to see this cuddly hop monster from Common Space Brewery.
Yes, it is quite the colorful label and monster back story as well.
LFG
Put another Pink Boots beer on your radar, Pizza Port has….
That’s right, Let’s Go and get a 4-pack of pale ale.
