I missed trying Little Man ice cream when I was in Denver but Weldwerks Brewing has made it easier to get your frozen treats with their Salted Oreo Stout. And since L.A. gets the occasional Weldwerks, there just might be a chance we can try it.
Now here is a throwback beer for ya’. Little Beast Brewing has teamed with Funky Fauna from Sisters, Oregon, to create a Brett IPA. “Story Forest was primarily fermented with Chico ale yeast, then aged with Brettanomyces anomalus var. clausenii (widely called Brett C) for several months. To bring out more flavor, we dry-hopped it with Nectaron and HBC 586 to add the final touch to this new elixir.”
Fall is well and truly here in SoCal. And with Halloween in the rearview we can focus on the twin heavy hitters of Thanksgiving and Christmas and by that I mean the Doctor Who episodes forthcoming. And also plenty of craft beer talk and general foolishness like…

Two Bay Area breweries have teamed up with the Anchor Workers Collab on Solidarity California Common ale.

These beers lead me to a question, if / when Anchor Brewing is truly gone (hopefully not), will steam beer become available to name a beer?
I saw and spoke with Beer Paper impresario Daniel Drennon a few times at the Firestone Walker Invitational but forgot completely to ask about this beer with Artifex Brewing…
….I don’t see this coming up to Los Angeles in distribution but maybe I will get lucky.
It seems like every day that I see a beer that I wish that I could get, but realistic me knows that it ain’t gonna happen. Another part of me also knows that having these just out of reach beers is a good thing. It will eventually push me out to travel to find.
This month, I would need to travel to the Land of KC3 aka England to Thornbridge Brewery for this collaboration with Budvar…
