Certain fruits are beer workhorses. Peaches and nectarines are in practically every sour beer. Apples, not so much, so this Saison duet between The Bruery and Cellador Ales looks interesting to me.
Briter
In my mind, I think these new Brite beers from Terreux (The Bruery) are arriving at the right time. I believe that beer consumers (minus me) have experimented with the “hard” seltzer and the “hard” kombucha and are probably leaning back towards wanting something light in alcohol and calories and that these sparkling sours might be where they land. Especially in the summer.
Friendly Foeders
I highlight this beer from frequent and promiscuous collaborators Bruery Terreux and Garage Project due to two ingredients spied on the label, chamomile and lemon balm. I have had a couple tea beers and I especially like chamomile so I will be on the look-out for this one.
