As a gin appreciator with a tiny bit of experience, this recent brand extension from the 33 Books group is right up my alley because I really need to figure out which gins I like and why I don’t like others (looking at you St. George). Plus it will keep me thinking while drinking which will carry-over to beer as well.
33 Fresh Hops
With hop harvesting probably winding down. Thanks hot summer for speeding up the process! It is time to drink up those freshies. And to put them into your journal, your green journal as 33 Bottles of Beer Fresh Hop Edition beer journal is printed in green ink with green staples.
This is a limited edition beer ticker book that also is perfect for other Non-West-Coast IPA’s. Your haze, lactose, glitter IPA for example.
Descriptors are IPA-centric with ‘dank,’ ‘herbal/grassy,’ ‘citrus,’ ‘floral,’ and even ‘vegetal,’ to help you hone in on what you are tasting.
The fresh hop edition is available now for $5 each.
In plastic
I have written about the (now extensive) 33 Beer journals in the past. Now they have come out with a Pro Edition made of plastic. Or as they call it, synthetic paper. That change means that the ink will not run.
That is cool but the second addition has other tricks up it front cover. There is a foldout swatch book that you can use to evaluate the color of the beer as well as a reference table for common beer styles. A handy tool to help you judge how closely the beer hews to style.
