Readers of the blog know that I am introvert. I feel most comfortable in a brewery taproom right when it opens and I am the only one there.
I recognize that I am not in the majority when it comes to folks going out for craft beer, And it is for these people thar I recommend A Place to Be, a beer ‘zine from the folks that put the Pellicle beer writing website together.


IPA’s have evolved and wibble wobbled all over the map of aroma, flavor and popularity. Now is a good time to check back in and remind ourselves of the lanes for the IPA styles.
Just in time Matthew Curtis from Pellicle Magazine has given a sturdy look at IPA as of 2022.

Scrolling through the nicer part of Twitter Town, I ran across this announcement from beer writer Matthew Curtis… “We’re a brand new magazine celebrating beer, wine, cider, food and travel. Launching online May the 1st.” This is a UK centered venture but hopefully we in the States will be able to at least read some of the content online or order a subscription.
