New from Fearless

FEARLESS BREWING COMPANY RELEASES 2009 STRONG SCOTCH ALE
Those of you who have been waiting patiently, or not so patiently, for the release of the 2009 Fearless Strong Scotch Ale can begin to relax. Fearless Brewing Company will celebrate the Autumn Equinox and its Strong Scotch Ale with a release party on Saturday, September 19th. Fearless Strong Scotch Ale is known for its deep, malty character with caramel undertones. Because hops were not abundant in Scotland, the beer traditionally has a lower hop rate. The 2009 batch has an alcohol content approaching 9 percent. Taps will begin pouring the Strong Scotch Ale at 3:00 pm on September 19th. To add to the celebration Fearless will feature a few menu specials as well as their famous Hungarian Mushroom soup.”

New Oregon beer – Part 1

from Pelican Brewery in Pacific City, Oregon comes…
La Fleur Amère- With an abundance of floral, herbal hops and a rich, malty foundation, La Fleur Amère marries an assertive English-style IPA with exotic Belgian-style yeast. Brewed especially for the Oregon Brewers Guild’s “Cheers to Belgian Beers” event, but making a return appearance only at the Bite of Oregon, La Fleur Amère features a sparkling light gold color, an aroma of floral, earthy, herbal hops and a fruity, spicy yeast character. La Fleur Amère is dry-hopped with more than a pound of hops per barrel and finishes with a clean, snappy balance of malt flavor, hop bitterness, and slightly tart, spicy yeast character. ABV 7.% IBU’s 65 16.4 Plato

Here is their current list of beers…
Cyclone Cream ale, Apricot Cream ale, Schwindel Alt, High-Altitude Amber, Razz Wheat & Friar Mike’s IPA.

These two guys started out home brewing then they just kept making more. The only logical thing to do was open a brewery.
