The Bursted Single Hop series from El Segundo has exceeded my expectations and now that they are nine hops in, as it were, we are reaching some more exotic varietals.
And this batch is the most exciting to me yet….
Three hops that you see on occasion but not as much as the Mosaic/Simcoe/Citra’s of the world. The Sapphir is the one that I really have my eye on with Huell Melon a close second.
It would be nice to be the king. Especially if a new La Trappe beer would be brewed for me. Technically, it is the Witte but with
Mandarina Bavaria hops to make it an exclusive edition for the 50th birthday of King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands.
This citrusy wit will be available before “King’s Day” on the April 27th holiday, this tropical take on the world’s first Trappist wheat beer will be available on draft across the U.S. for a limited-time only. And on draft only.
Much better than finding a plastic baby in a cake.
