Yes, the following beer might be a few rungs above over the top but that is par for the course from Pipeworks Brewing in Chicago.
The beer is El Unicornio and it will be an Amburana Wood-Aged Horchata Ale with rice, lactose, vanilla and cinnamon.
Well, haven’t had a Ruby Ale in far too long. Should have got one when I was in Portland in February and now more envy and FOMO with the imperialized version, Ruby Royale. In time for the can you believe it 38th anniversary!
Need to clone myself so I can have time for all these craft beers I want from McMenamins alone.

I know that I usually turn my nose up at adjuncted beers. But for some reason this weird concoction sounds good to me. I can imagine the banana being too sweet but that peanut butter should complement it. Plus bourbon barrels will help there. I also like that the mood on the label doesn’t veer into outright IP theft.
