Hal Mooney has been a friend to the Los Angeles beer scene through tours, a beer box service and now is getting into the restaurant game with plans to take the 1960’s diner Huff’s in Long Beach into a pizza spot Mooney’s Pizza that will, naturally, have a beer component to it. Your Beer Friend which has themed beer packages to buy throughout the year is now debuting their craft beer trailer. A 1955 trailer is now a rolling bar with six taps in it.
They are now accepting reservations for the trailer for events in Los Angeles and Orange County.
You may know Hal Mooney from the Beer Hop buses that tour breweries or his now L.A. famous Beer Hotline (855-LA-BEERS).
Add to that title, the beer guy for the MidiCi The Neapolitan Pizza Company.
He will be in charge of buying beer and beer education at their first location in Sherman Oaks and future locations as well.
Considering he knows about practically every brewery in LA, this could become a great craft beer and pizza stop.
