An Expanded Story

Story Tavern in Burbank  which is just over a year old now will be doubling their space with a party tonight.

To celebrate the expansion of 8 more taps and a game room, “Figueroa Mountain Brewing Company will be in the house this Thursday at 6:30PM to shower Story’s patrons with a wealth of delicious rarities, most of which have previously never been available in LA! Flights will be available.”

Draft List: Bag of Cats IPL, San Rafael Red Ale, Magpie Porter ,Monkeys with TypeRYEters ,Our Belgian Pale ,Irish Stout ,Wrangler Wheat and on CASK: Hoppy Poppy IPA

The Grand Canyon is Expanding

OK, that was worded a little too vaguely, but beer lovers probably read between the lines and made the deductive leaps. Grand Canyon Brewing in Williams (which is near the large and popular Arizona National park will be moving into a new and expanded brewing facility so they can brew more beer. The brewery will increase its brewing capacity from (currently) 6,000 barrels a year to a whopping 40,000 once operations are fully ramped up.

Maybe they will have enough to send to California so I could conceivably take Grand Canyon beer to Yosemite.

Green Flash on the East

SO another Left Coast brewery is headed east.  Green Flash Brewing Co.  will open a new brewery in Virginia Beach.  In short time, the Silva led operation has moved to a bigger facility in San Diego and now will create a sister site in Virginia.

The Virginia Beach operation should be brewing in the first part of 2015 though brewery openings are usually harder to pin down

This means fresh Palate Wrecker for the East Coast and maybe a collaborative brew as well!
