A Chance of Smog

pollution

China and Beijing in particular has a seriously bad pollution problem. They are generally easily above the unhealthy limit and makes Los Angeles seem like a clean air nirvana.

Beijing microbrewer Jing-A-Brewing has brewed an 8.8% ABV IPA “Airpocalypse”. The launch party set the price of the beer dependent on the AQI Index.  The higher it goes the less you had to pay.

Obviously they can’t do that all the time otherwise the beer would be free all the time.  But if they inverted it and made the beer less expensive when the air quality was better then maybe more people will change their habits.
