Three Weavers is hitting us with (3) IPA’s in the 3rd month of the year. After having Expatriate IPA for the first time in a long while, I am intrigued by the West Coast, Light Trails the most but if you like Pineapple, that could work well too.
I am a bit worn down by the special hazy 16oz can releases as I am sure others are, so I found it especially astute of the marketing folk at Offshoot to release their next duet of IPA’s with this label…
Aside from the Z usage, this is a clever way to get above the noise and supply. The charcoal look and the hook of using cats and dogs is a good choice.
Looks like that once a month, Three Weavers will have a Friday can sale from their Inglewood tap room. The first being the above Kveik-y Juicy IPA.
So plan your commute home at the end of the week, accordinglyy.
You might have seen this beautiful label and thought that Brouwerij West has another NE IPA ready for you but no, this is a watermelon, lime and cucumber Berliner Weisse and it is just in time for the summer and sounds like a great flavor mix if they have hit the tartness level just right.
I don’t know much about kombucha and it does scare me a little but I am on board with the other two parts of this Dry River initial can release, especially seeing La Roja in canned form. I am a big proponent of putting all kinds of beer styles in cans, not just the hazy.
Amongst the can designs, Boomtown is making quite a mark with their artist series. This time they have enlisted the artist DJ Neff to design their DIPA, “Graffiti”. It will be available in 4-packs and on draft at 12pm on Saturday, December 8th at their DTLA tasting room
Here is the beer info from the brewery…
“Graffiti is an 8.4% Hazy Double IPA brewed with Citra, Mosaic, and 007 hops. Enjoy notes of Pineapple, Tropical Fruit, Kiwi, Grapefruit and Lime Rind.”
Boomtown Brewery is taking advantage of being Arts District adjacent to adorn their latest DIPA release The Hunted with cool imagery. This time the artist is J. Collins and the beer is a hazy Double IPA. If you are a fan of Galaxy and Mosaic hops, then be ready on Saturday, September 22nd at 12:00PM for the sale. Four-packs are $18 and there will be food trucks, Hunted merch and music.
If you happen to be Hawthorne adjacent next week, Los Angeles Ale Works will have a treat for you. Their first cans are scheduled for a limited release on February 9th and a full rollout on February 10th.
If you are a fan of the large Boomtown Brewing mural in DTLA is releasing a new IPA with a label designed by the same artist.
Starting at 7:00pm the artist Fuzi (whose mural adorns the outside wall of the brewery) and head brewer Samuel “Chewy” Chewinga will be present as Boomtown Brewery hosts a celebration in honor of the release. DJ Jack Tompkins will be spinning all night and food will be supplied by CA Burger Shop. The event is completely free.
Ignorant is a Double IPA that clocks in at a robust 8.4% ABV, has a hazy golden color, and is packed with Galaxy and Mosaic hops. It features flavors of mango, tropical fruit, grapefruit, and is balanced by other bright citrus. Cans will be available starting at 12:00pm (until they sell out) and are $18 for a four-pack.
