If you are like me, you probably don’t drink enough sour beers. Brouwerij West can help get your tartness levels up with the flavors of mango and hibiscus in their new beer, Rock Awash.
Blonde Day – Coffee
Brouwerij West has partnered with Groundwork Coffee on Sun Supreme, a limited release Coffee Blond.
“New Zealand hopped Belgian style blond was racked on to custom roasted whole beans from Sulawesi that the team from Groundwork hand selected and lightly roasted. While this isn’t a heavy coffee beer, it is a light, straw colored aromatic Belgian style blond ale with tons of floral coffee aroma and light coffee flavor.”
Additional Light
L.A. never really gets cold so a light beer is always good to have on hand and Brouwerij West has one for us to try.
This tiger has its eye on you so don’t get lost in the swirl of the labels colors.
Cool Beers / Labels for October 2021
Now I can imagine Archer taking a Spy Nap but Brouwerij West won’t be caught sleeping on hops. They have a new Hazy Double IPA packed to the brim with Galaxy, El Dorado, and Motueka hops. Leading to what the brewery says are “aromas & flavors of peach, citrus zest, and candied tropical fruit.”
Oakshire has a great name for their 3rd fearful release with The Fear That Never Was. Plus it sounds luxuriant, “Barreled down in Heaven Hill Bourbon barrels for 23 months, each cask was transferred to a secondary cask for an additional 7 months. Each of the five casks from our favorite Kentucky distillers lent its own symphony to the blended double-barrel result. Robust maple, bourbon-soaked toffee, rich caramel, and tannic-laden oak make this Fear the most complex and intriguing yet. It is unknown even to us, how deep the darkness can go.”
Fishy
The whole photoshop phishbowl doesn’t do this new Helles Lager label from Brouwerij West justice. Of all the cool BW labels, the fish really pops into three dimensions. The blue rocks at the bottom really tie it together.
Brouwerij Blond
You can find all the hazies and single hop IPAs at Brouwerij West but do not sleep on the Belgian styled beers that they make. Blond can be that summer heat wave beer you need.
Nick of Time
It is not too often that I can celebrate both a label design and a saison but Brouwerij West can make both happen.
Here are the details… “Time Scoop is a classic non-sour saison, brewed with malted barley, raw spelt, Pacifica and Wai-iti hops from New Zealand. It is full of tropical fruit aroma, fresh sea air and a dry finish that will leave you wanting another of these can conditioned gems.”
Brouwerij Change
Another month and another cover can design (complete with Bitcoin) from Brouwerij West. The San Pedro based brewery usually send some out hazies but this is a change of pace in a bigger way.
IPAs for Days
Need more hops? Well start shopping for…
…this anniversary (#5) from Brouwerij West or the following Beachwood meets Pizza Port IPA…
Either way you will get your dietary hop needs met.
Re-Open
What with LA’s changing attitude on breweries, you know, selling what they brew. It has been hard to keep track. But Brouwerij West is letting people know, they are open. If you are crazy for Citra hops and are enamored with Enigma hops, then this new hazy is for you.
