MA-BREW-HAY

Three Filipino American-owned Los Angeles breweries, Ambitious Ales in Bixby Knolls, Brewyard Beer Co. in my hood of Glendale and Five Point Five Brewing in El Segundo have tri-collaborated to brew a new beer in celebration of Filipino American History Month.

It is Jolli Beer a peach and mango lager inspired by the one and only Peach Mango Pie.

This might not be a one-off either as the “MaBrewhay Collective” aims to “continue to contribute to the ever-evolving Filipino American Story.”

The ‘Yard is 8

Brewyard Beer Co. has reached their 8th Anniversary under the overpass in Glendale.  These guys throw a good party too.  So in addition to new beer and new collaborations there will be music and food and you might find a seat next to the Brewyard truck to sip your beer.

Brewyard-A-Go-Go

Thanks to boundary lines, the two closest breweries to my home in Glendale are actually in Los Angeles. Brewyard will be in Glendale near the edge of Burbank finally giving my adopted city a brewery for the first time since GlenCastle which was way, way in the past.

But first, the Brewyard folks need a little extra help to get set-up in their digs, which will include a vintage truck INSIDE the taproom.

Check out their Indie-Go-Go campaign and help out HERE.
