Cutt’s Ale
This Northwest style Amber Ale, named in honor of our local Cutt’s Island AKA “Dead Man’s” Island, displays a brilliantly clear reddish hue, an intense nose of pine and citrus, a medium body, malt notes of fresh toasted bread, and a pleasant lingering hop bitterness. Quite assertive for an Amber Ale, Cutt’s remains well balanced yet truly Northwest in its audacity.

Original Gravity: 14.8 Plato
Terminal Gravity: 2.5-3.0 Plato
Alc. by Volume: 6.15%

Ballz Deep Double IPA
A mash tun packed mostly with Pale Ale Malt and several different varieties of Crystal malt provide a firm, slightly sweet malt flavor while copious amounts of resiny Yakima Valley hops go berserk on bitterness, flavor and aroma.

7 Seas British Pale Ale
A very approachable, versatile Pale Ale, our 7 Sea’s version draws inspiration from the venerable traditions of proper British brewing. Brewed with generous amounts of imported Golden Promise malt, noble hop varieties, and a slightly warm fermentation, this ale displays aromas of fresh fruit, earthy hop notes, and a clean, snappy finish. Ah, nothing like a proper pint!

Terminal Gravity: 2.2-2.7 Plato

I had some BrewDog at the Stone Fest 13 and in bottles in the past. All were OK but not mind bending. I have read interviews with the brewer though and he seems trey cool. I heard about these beers though and am really excited. The eternal optimism of the beer geek.

Red Carpet always does a good job on their beer tastings. No snobbery and good, solid beer choices. Plus they have a nice selection of beer to grab on the way out.
I saw this on the Saraveza newsletter…
On a recent trip to the Annen Brother’s Hop Farm, Saraveza beertender, Jonathan Carmean, picked up some hop shake to spice up your suds. Next time you’re in at Saraveza, ask your beertender to top off your pint with some Hop Kief.
From what I understand, this is a powder that you add to your beer. Sounds intriguing.

Those of you who have been waiting patiently, or not so patiently, for the release of the 2009 Fearless Strong Scotch Ale can begin to relax. Fearless Brewing Company will celebrate the Autumn Equinox and its Strong Scotch Ale with a release party on Saturday, September 19th. Fearless Strong Scotch Ale is known for its deep, malty character with caramel undertones. Because hops were not abundant in Scotland, the beer traditionally has a lower hop rate. The 2009 batch has an alcohol content approaching 9 percent. Taps will begin pouring the Strong Scotch Ale at 3:00 pm on September 19th. To add to the celebration Fearless will feature a few menu specials as well as their famous Hungarian Mushroom soup.”
