Kris Kringle – Day 17

We head to England and an emerging British beer star for 12 Days from Hook Norton Brewery

“Twelve Days has a dominant malty palate with nutty flavours. The use of roasted chocolate malt creates the rich colour. Hook Norton Managing Director James Clarke said: “Anyone drinking a glass of Twelve Days will quickly discover that it has the depth of character to warm even the coldest winter’s night.”main_image

There are not a whole lot of Hanukkah beers but that may be changing.

“Every year, Lompoc Brewing releases more than a half dozen Christmas beers around the first of December. This year, the brewers are excited to brew a beer in honor of Hanukkah as well.

Dubbed “Eight Malty Nights,” the Chocolate Rye beer will be brewed tomorrow, November 10. Rabbi Bradley Greenstein from the Congregation Neveh Shalom will be present to bless the mash and deliver a toast. The beer will be released on the first day of Hanukkah, Dec. 11. “

Kris Kringle – Day 15

Nutcracker Ale is Boulevard’s holiday gift for real beer lovers. This hearty, warming brew is a classic winter ale, deep amber in color, with hints of molasses balanced by the “spiciness” of freshly harvested Chinook hops.
