Santa heads to Texas next for this holiday beer from Saint Arnold, Ye Olde Christmas Ale is described as “a rich, copper colored, hearty ale perfect for the holiday season with a malty sweetness and spicy hop character. The generous use of five different malts is responsible for the full flavor and high alcohol level of this beer.”

We head hazy to local Eagle Rock Brewery and their multi-hued can of hazy IPA goodness, All Your Oats.

We head out of country for our next holiday beer….
Straffe Hendrik from Bruges in Belgium has their Xmas Blend II. The beer is a Belgian quadrupel aged in oak at a not insubstantial 11% abv.
2018 Holiday Beer # 5 – PermaFrost from Burnside Brewing
Back to Oregon for the next holiday ale entrant. PermaFrost from Burnside Brewing. The Portland brewery describes the beer like this: “NW Winter ale brewed with 7 different malts and copious amounts of Meridian and Amarillo hops pillowed in the middle to give this warming brew a chewy complex malt body and a unique fruity juicy hoppiness throughout.”

Next up is an alternate holiday ale from Sierra Nevada. Winter Warmer gives you something different from the Fresh Hop Celebration IPA. It is available in their Winter Snowpack Variety.
2018 Holiday Beer # 3 – Winter Bock from KC Bier
We head to Kansas City for our next holiday beer, a bock from KC Bier Co. a German influenced brewery, who describe the beer as “a strong Doppelbock-style bier with complex, rich malt flavors of chocolate and coffee, hints of caramel and molasses, low bitterness and a satisfyingly sooth finish. Its dark brown color comes from generous portions of amber Munich malt, smaller amounts of specialty malts and double decoction, which contribute a full body and warming alcohols to sustain drinkers throughout the winter season.”

Another yearly stalwart is Jubelale from Deschutes and its ever changing label art. This year the art comes from in-house.
