August was a busy beer month.  But September is electric.  It is the silly season where you see brewers and beer fans 3 or 4 times a week and it finishes with LA Beer Week!

We are now in the heat of the SoCal summer that extends well into October in most years so that means I will review some milds that give you some roasty qualities without big ABVs. Then visits to some new and not quite done fermenting breweries in California along with a slew of information on L.A. craft beer events.

It has arrived!!

Red Carpet in my adopted hometown of Glendale is making the jump from bottle shop (with wine and spirits) to adding some tap lines too! “We are unveiling our new draft system. We only have 6 beers on tap. Still working on getting more. We will be officially pouring starting at 2PM Friday June 15, 2012.”
