Time to head for the slopes for the next wintry beer installment. Sit down on your chair of choice for Single Chair from Magic Hat.
“Single Chair is a light, medium-bodied golden ale with a greasy aroma and a malt forward flavor. Smooth and drinkable, perfectly balanced like nature itself…”
Not a huge fan of star anise because it has to be doled out in judicious amounts but this could really work as a winter warmer from Magic Hat. “Starlit is a true, robust English porter. Medium bodied and full of dark chocolate and caramel malt flavors. The finish is dried with lingering flavors of star anise and slight warmth of alcohol.”
Using your beer to make energy for your next beer. That is the basic conceit behind Purpose Energy.
Check out their website and see what they did at Magic Hat. I can see some of the regional and super-regional breweries taking a good hard look at this idea.
Out here in Los Angeles, we have just started getting Magic Hat. Actually, all I have seen is #9. I had that in 2009 so it was verboten for the challenge. But thanks to Bruisin’ Ales, check Vermont off. I had their fall seasonal, Roxy Rolles
