GRB recently released a new Custom IPA: The Works. With each beer in the series, Golden Road puts the IPA spotlight on a local non-profit. L.A. Works, a volunteer network in the city is the namesake this time around.

From the brewery press release, “Since 1991, L.A. Works has worked tirelessly to increase volunteer participation in community service projects while educating and encouraging people to engage in the broader social issues affecting the greater Los Angeles community.”

Sounds like a good reason to get your fill of hops like Motueka from New Zealand, Opal and Saphir from Germany, and American-born Jarrylo plus Mosaic and Equinox.

This beer seems lighter than the 7.1% ABV.  I get peppery notes intermingled with slighter citrus notes.  It is very easy drinking and nicely complex.

The Works will be available in cans and on draft right now!
